About The Position

Foundation Academies is seeking a Student Success Team (SST) Social Worker to serve as a campus-based leader responsible for strengthening student support systems across MTSS, crisis response, attendance intervention, and social-emotional learning. This role is critical in ensuring scholars have the behavioral, emotional, and environmental supports needed to access learning and thrive. The SST Social Worker partners closely with school leadership and the Senior Director of Special Services to build strong systems of care, remove barriers to learning, and support a safe and structured school environment aligned to Foundation Academies’ mission and values.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
  • Valid state licensure/certification as a School Social Worker (or eligibility)
  • 3–5 years of experience in school-based social work or student support services
  • Strong expertise in crisis intervention, MTSS, SEL, and attendance systems
  • Experience with risk assessments, safety planning, and student re-entry planning
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and drive systems-level improvement
  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead crisis response and student safety coordination, including risk assessments, safety planning, re-entry planning, and staff training in de-escalation and trauma-informed practices
  • Oversee MTSS-aligned social-emotional supports across Tier 1–3, including individual counseling and small group interventions
  • Lead attendance intervention efforts by analyzing data, developing individualized plans, conducting family outreach, and supporting re-engagement to reduce chronic absenteeism
  • Facilitate SST meetings and ensure consistent implementation and follow-through on student intervention plans aligned to MTSS
  • Partner with families, staff, and external providers to coordinate supports for high-need scholars and ensure aligned care
  • Use data to monitor student progress, identify trends, and continuously improve schoolwide student support systems
