About The Position

You will join a technology team working in a data-intensive environment with access to a Data Lake. The project combines object-oriented application development, database integration, SQL querying, and modern delivery practices. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to solutions supporting Transactional Regulatory Reporting, working across application, data, and infrastructure components in a complex financial environment.

Requirements

Approximately 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
Strong object-oriented programming knowledge and practical development experience.
Hands-on experience with Java and JavaScript.
Practical knowledge of SQL, including the ability to create, analyse, and optimise queries.
Experience working with more than one relational database technology.
Knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, or comparable database environments.
Experience with version control and CI/CD practices.
Practical exposure to Git and automated delivery pipelines.
Working knowledge of tools or platforms such as GitHub Actions and Kubernetes.
Ability to work autonomously on defined technical problems and explain personal technical decisions.
Professional English level required for a European or multicultural project environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AWS S3 or comparable object-storage services.
Experience with Elasticsearch.
Angular and TypeScript development experience.
Experience building microservices with Spring Boot.
Knowledge of OpenShift.
Experience with Kafka or another event-streaming platform.
DevOps knowledge and an understanding of cloud-native operating models.
Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
Exposure to Data Lake architectures or large-scale data platforms.
Knowledge of Transactional Regulatory Reporting or a related banking domain.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain object-oriented applications using Java and JavaScript.
Access and work with data stored in a Data Lake.
Create, optimise, and troubleshoot SQL queries across different database technologies.
Develop and maintain integrations with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other relational databases.
Work with PL/SQL procedures, packages, and database objects where required.
Participate in CI/CD processes using Git, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, and related tools.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of microservices, particularly with Spring Boot.
Collaborate with developers, data specialists, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
Investigate production or integration issues and propose sustainable technical solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain technical and functional documentation in Jira and Confluence.
Contribute ideas that improve system reliability, delivery efficiency, and solution quality.
