About The Position

The Person in this position will monitor the X-Ray machines, retrieve any rejected product from the rejection bin, monitor and adjust the X-Ray settings, and set up new codes as needed. They will also complete data entry into a computer tracking system. The primary responsibilities of the X-Ray monitor are to continuously monitor assigned production areas and equipment for potential and actual foreign material which could enter into the production process and affect product safety. This position will perform continuous visual observations of the assigned area for potential sources of foreign material such as pieces of plastic, wood, gaskets, belt, screws, nuts and miscellaneous material which could affect product. Specific duties will consist of observing Team Member actions, PPE, and GMP’s, equipment, belts, bearings, overheads, piping, caulking, broken parts that could lead to foreign material affecting product. Conduct periodic verification checks of belt, gaskets, grinder and seal checks being performed by QA and Operations personnel. This position will assist operations personnel in conducting thorough departmental belt checks as required while documenting any findings/corrective actions and notifying appropriate management. This position will document all findings on associated forms or in the computerized Plant View system as necessary.

Requirements

  • 6 months continuous work history in 2 years
  • All applicants must provide their government identification number so the system can verify any previous Tyson employment history.
  • This facility accepts rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson.
