SSM Machine Operator
About The Position
Dynamic Source Manufacturing Inc. (DSM) is seeking an SSM (Selective Soldering Machine) Operator for their cutting-edge facilities. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery and related processes to ensure printed circuit boards are assembled accurately and efficiently. DSM is an Electronics Manufacturing Services company with 25 years of experience, supporting global businesses in diverse industries such as automotive, communications, energy, and security & defense. Requirements
- Minimum grade 12 Diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with machinery is an asset.
- Technology Diploma would be an asset.
- Experience working in an electronics environment is an added advantage.
- Experience with component lead forming is an asset.
- Soldering experience, Class 2 is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards is an asset.
- Knowledge of J-STD-001 is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Setting up, operating, and monitoring of machinery and related equipment/processes
- Troubleshooting of equipment when problems arise
- Setting up and tearing down of equipment
- Cleaning and performing operator preventative maintenance where required.
- Prepare and assemble electronic components into printed circuit board assemblies.
- Perform visual inspection of boards to confirm accurate placement and polarity of components, and compliance to workmanship standards.
- Performing other duties as required (potting, wire stripping, assembly, etc.)
