About The Position

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is redefining how organizations securely connect users, applications, and data from edge to cloud. We are seeking a SASE & Security Presales Specialist to help lead this transformation across the Eastern United States. In this senior, customer‑facing technical role, you will be a key member of the HPE Networking SASE & Security Specialist Team, partnering closely with account managers, channel partners, and enterprise customers. You will architect, position, and demonstrate modern secure networking solutions built on SRX Firewalls, HPE Aruba Networking SASE, including SD‑WAN, Security Service Edge (SSE), and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). A core focus of the role will be helping customers understand and adopt the integrated HPE + Juniper Networks security portfolio, including Juniper SRX next‑generation firewalls, cloud‑delivered security services, and network access control (NAC) with Aruba ClearPass. You will show how these capabilities work together to deliver consistent, policy‑driven security across campus, branch, data center, cloud, and remote users. This role is ideal for a technically strong pre-sales professional who enjoys blending security architecture, consultative storytelling, and hands‑on technical engagement to solve complex cybersecurity challenges in distributed enterprise environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in technical presales, sales engineering, or solution architecture roles within networking and/or cybersecurity.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Firewall, SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, SD‑WAN, or cloud‑delivered security architectures.
  • Solid understanding of network and security fundamentals, including firewalls, SRX, IPsec, SSL/TLS, IDS/IPS, and traffic inspection.
  • Experience with identity‑based access controls, including NAC, SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and role‑ or context‑based policy enforcement.
  • Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Familiarity with securing workloads and connectivity in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud).
  • Comfortable delivering live demos, whiteboard sessions, and customer POCs in high‑visibility sales engagements.
  • Clear communicator who can translate complex cybersecurity concepts into business‑focused value propositions.
  • Self‑driven, collaborative, and effective in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented sales environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HPE Aruba Networking solutions such as EdgeConnect SD‑WAN, Aruba Networking SSE, Aruba Central, and Aruba ClearPass (NAC).
  • Exposure to Juniper security technologies, especially SRX next‑generation firewalls and related security management platforms.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, Security+, JNCIS/SP, or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Background supporting enterprise, large commercial, or Cloud and SP focus customers in a presales or consulting capacity.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance models including NIST, ISO 27001, and Zero Trust maturity models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in‑depth technical discovery sessions to understand customer business objectives, threat landscape, networking environments, and security requirements.
  • Design, document, and present end‑to‑end SASE and Zero Trust architectures, incorporating SD‑WAN, SSE, ZTNA, NAC (ClearPass), and next‑generation firewall technologies (SRX).
  • Deliver compelling customer demonstrations, workshops, and proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) highlighting use cases across SASE, SSE, secure branch, remote access, and cloud security.
  • Position the combined HPE Aruba Networking and Juniper security portfolio, including SRX firewalls, campus and branch security, and data‑center‑to‑cloud connectivity.
  • Articulate the value of identity‑driven security using NAC, contextual access control, and Zero Trust principles to security, network, and executive stakeholders.
  • Support sales pursuits by contributing to RFPs, RFIs, architecture diagrams, and security questionnaires, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
  • Collaborate closely with account teams, security specialists, partners, and professional services to drive successful customer outcomes.
  • Present confidently to audiences ranging from hands‑on engineers to CISOs, security architects, and executive leadership.
  • Provide structured feedback from the field to product management and engineering teams to influence roadmap and solution enhancements.
  • Travel primarily across the Eastern U.S., with occasional broader travel to support major customer engagements, partner events, and industry forums.
