About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating Slitter and Pipe Mill operations within company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe plant, and ensuring department goals are met. The position requires ensuring employees perform their jobs safely and efficiently, managing consumables and tooling availability, and making maintenance plans. It also involves coordinating Kaizen activities, supporting HSE programs, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The role is responsible for meeting production schedules and maintaining a smooth product flow. The position has the authority to stop production for safety, quality, or priority reasons and has direct authority over the Mill Processing Department.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum 5 years of experience in Pipe Mill operations and Stretch Reducing Mill or significant manufacturing knowledge.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications.
Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
Knowledgeable experience with manufacturing processes and SRM systems.
Must be available and able to work outside the normal work week schedule when needed.

Responsibilities

Coordinate Slitter and Pipe Mill operations within company policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe plant.
Responsible for reaching the department goals that are assigned by supervisors.
Communicate with other departments regarding process improvement ideas and improved procurement practices.
Ensure all employees are performing their jobs safely and efficient.
Ensure all the consumables/tooling are readily available to continue smooth operations
Make maintenance plans with the related parties and follow up the performance and give feed back to the related parties.
Assign 5S areas to the operators, check the effectiveness of the 5S and standardize the developed areas.
Coordinate the Before/After Kaizen activities and report according to the company format.
Supports HSE-related programs that will increase awareness and promote a safety culture.
Ensuring the policies and procedures are followed during daily activities.
Maintaining a smooth operation of product flow through departments.
Communicate the issues to the related parties form the subordinates to the upper management according to the majority/effect of the problem.
Responsible for meeting all production schedules.
Other duties as assigned.
