About The Position

Cabot Corporation is seeking a Senior Workday Reporting Analyst to design, build, maintain, and optimize Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics. This role will support data-driven decision-making across HR and the wider business by partnering with senior stakeholders in HR, Finance, and Digital to translate reporting needs into scalable, accurate, and user-friendly solutions. The position reports to the Head of HRIS.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience creating and maintaining reports and dashboards in Workday, either from a partner or end-user HRIS team.
  • Strong experience across Workday report types, calculated fields, prompts, filters, business objects, data sources, and custom dashboards.
  • An understanding of Workday security as relates to data sources, business objects, calc fields, etc.
  • Experience translating business requirements into clear, accurate, maintainable reporting solutions and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills, with high attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with confidential HR or employee data and understanding of HR data governance, Workday security roles, compliance reporting, and SOX/audit controls.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience creating training materials, reporting guides, or stakeholder enablement resources.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new Workday functionality.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday Reporting certification (Pro or Partner Certified)
  • Hands-on experience with discovery boards, worksheets, and/or BIRT reporting.
  • Demonstrable use of AI in Workday
  • Hands-on experience with PowerBI
  • Prior experience in at least one of the following Workday functional areas, or demonstrate a strong willingness and aptitude to learn: Learning, Recruiting, or HCM.
  • Experience in a multi-national organization, including across languages, ideally within the manufacturing industry or FMCG.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy, maintain, and optimize Workday reports, including custom, advanced, matrix, composite, dashboard, and self-service reporting solutions.
  • Create and maintain calculated fields, prompts, filters, business objects, report definitions, custom dashboards, and hubs to meet business requirements.
  • Partner with HR, Digital, Finance, functional process owners, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify reporting objectives, and translate business questions into accurate, actionable reporting solutions.
  • Serve in an advisory role across Workday functional areas for reporting strategy and data lake integration.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, secure, scalable, and aligned with Workday security, data governance, privacy, and audit requirements.
  • Troubleshoot report issues, perform root-cause analysis, conduct unit testing and support UAT, and recommend improvements to reporting logic, usability, and performance.
  • Support Workday releases by assessing report impacts, testing enhancements, and updating reports, documentation, job aids, and reporting standards as needed.
  • Maintain reporting governance through inventories, tags, documentation, and standards that support consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Offer training and end-user support, including documentation, user guides, and videos.
  • Handle confidential HR data with discretion and in accordance with applicable policies and controls.
