NextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division is looking for a Senior Wind Turbine Troubleshooting Support Technician that provides real time technical support of NextEra’s wind sites across the US and Canada. This position is located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL Executes all critical renewable operations support processes at an advanced level, including, but not limited to, troubleshooting equipment that is off-line and can be reset, troubleshooting support for field personnel, control parameter modifications, and configuration management of wind turbine controls. Ensures control room compliance with all relevant regulatory compliance requirements. Daily execution of procedures and interpretation of trends and drawings. Requires ability to learn and operate new and existing SCADA systems. Position follows a 12-hour rotating shift that requires candidate to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. Position also requires occasional overtime. The Senior Wind Turbine Troubleshooting Support Technician provides expertise in the resetting of equipment and development of troubleshooting instructions to minimize downtime and support field investigations and repair. Other responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Work with engineering and technical services to understand root cause of turbine trips and collaborating on ways to eliminate trips Develop tools and work processes that support the advanced troubleshooting and return to service from central location Effectively communicates significant trends in equipment malfunctions to site and engineering personnel. The Sr ROCC Operator position is a critical role within NextEra Energy Resources' Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC) that centrally monitors and operates the company's extensive 54GW renewable energy portfolio. Operators are responsible for representing NEE to our diverse set of customers with real-time coordination for changing operating instructions and market conditions, while maintaining compliance with NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO and contractual requirements, and responding to off-normal grid and generation events. Operators also coordinate internally with cross-functional teams for safe, reliable operation of our existing assets, and new site onboarding and monitoring through construction. These duties include response to compliance and operational alarms, coordination and communication for safety, environmental, and reliability events, coordination for maintenance and testing, generation event troubleshooting and restoration, coordination of high-voltage clearances, and substation fault troubleshooting and resets.
