  • Expert-level mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern framework architectures.
  • Proven experience building applications that interact extensively with Microsoft Azure services and consume REST APIs.
  • Experience extending low-code architectures, including Power Apps Canvas or Model-Driven apps, through custom code and custom connectors.
  • Demonstrated experience developing applications that comply with federal accessibility standards.
  • Ability to clear a federal background investigation to obtain a DOI Public Trust clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hybrid mobile app frameworks such as React Native or Flutter, or with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
  • Previous experience supporting a Department of the Interior (DOI) bureau or tracking field-collected asset data.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Developer or Azure Developer Associate certification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy responsive web applications and cross-platform mobile-friendly interfaces.
  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, or Power Apps Component Framework (PCF).
  • Implement native mobile features, including offline data caching, camera integration, and geolocation services, for field-ready DOI applications.
  • Integrate front-end experiences with backend databases such as Azure SQL, cloud services, and custom AI/ML model endpoints.
  • Design and consume secure RESTful APIs to support high performance and data integrity between systems.
  • Collaborate with data developers to maintain smooth data flows and optimize application loading times.
  • Translate Figma designs or UI prototypes into polished, high-fidelity production environments.
