About The Position

This role is for a Sr. Water Systems Engineer focused on data center design. The engineer will influence water chemistry and treatment, coordinating with design engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance for a global fleet of data centers, including on-site and large campus water systems. Responsibilities include defining, designing, detailing, and documenting water treatment features using both prescriptive and performance-based design approaches. The goal is to ensure water treatment features protect people and maintain uninterrupted customer data over the building's life. The role also involves contributing expertise to continually improve water system design standards. The engineer will perform and oversee project-related work such as water supply analysis and design, coordinating with utilities and internal water teams for site infrastructure requirements. This includes coordinating space requirements for water treatment systems, supporting utilities, equipment locations, and providing detailed construction specifications. Preparation of detailed designs for water treatment and sustainability systems is expected, along with coordination with all design disciplines to ensure code compliance and alignment with design standards. The role may involve overseeing and reviewing work performed by others, or performing the work directly. As a subject matter expert, the engineer will ensure contractors have necessary information for construction and that operations teams are equipped for maintenance. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including design engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, service providers, and local officials, is key. The position is part of a global team contributing to technological advancement.
