About The Position

The Sr. Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, equipment services staff, and inventory management while ensuring efficient replenishment, receiving, and customer service support for the sales organization. This role drives operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of warehouse or inventory management experience, including distribution and service operations.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL may be required.
  • Forklift certification required at hire.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software, handheld systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate equipment (electric pallet jacks, forklifts).
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and technical manuals; capable of writing reports and correspondence.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and assign work for warehouse and field service staff, ensuring tools, resources, and procedures are in place.
  • Oversee replenishment, receiving, transfers, and inventory transactions with quality control measures for all inbound and outbound activities.
  • Manage warehouse layout and storage design to optimize efficiency and product flow.
  • Partner with Sales Management on product forecasting, equipment, and service needs to support business growth.
  • Coordinate product and equipment backhauls with plants, distribution centers, and sales locations.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, prepare scorecards, and make data-driven decisions to achieve targets.
  • Review inventory reports to identify gaps, slow-moving stock, and corrective actions; conduct cycle counts and special inventories as needed.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools (e.g., 5S, Gemba walks) and manage special projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, enforce policies, conduct monthly safety meetings, and oversee accident reporting and prevention.
  • Oversee security of company assets and compliance with FDA regulations and Master Cleaning Schedules.
  • Manage annual budget preparation, monthly reporting, and expense control.
  • Supervise and support Field Service Technicians, ensuring quality service and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Serve as a backup for other warehouse managers and assist in audits or cross-location support.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in line with company policies and applicable laws.
  • May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.
