About The Position

As a Sr. Warehouse Associate, you are a subject matter expert in service parts material handling across inbound, outbound, inventory, and repackaging activities. You will ensure the safe, accurate, and timely flow of service parts—including made-in-house (MIH) materials and emergency backorders through the Normal campus. Beyond standard execution, you are expected to foster a safe environment and drive continuous improvement (LEAN) initiatives to keep our service network running at peak efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or other recognized high school equivalency credential preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience performing picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operating in a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment (preferred)
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment (automotive preferred)
  • Experience with powered industrial equipment (PIT).
  • Understanding and compliant to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines
  • Physical requirement to step-up and down off of MHE multiple times repetitively
  • Ability to stand for 8–12 hours per day
  • Ability to repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hands to handle cumbersome or odd-shaped materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to stoop and kneel to retrieve materials up to 50 lbs. under select racking or floor pile locations
  • Ability to perform all duties in the warehouse that may contain dust, high noise, hot and cold weather
  • Comfortable operating a gantry crane or lift assist.
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Experience and understanding of utilizing a RF hand-held scanner
  • Prior experience with Dangerous Goods (DG) or battery pack handling preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP/EWM or similar enterprise-grade WMS.
  • Knowledge of LEAN practices (5s, Identify Waste, Process Improvements)
  • Led or participated in a continuous improvement project
  • Rotation between different job sites. We operate in multiple locations.
  • Overtime as per the needs of the business (Occasional weekends)
  • Commitment to work a flexible schedule, requiring individuals to arrive early or to stay later than assigned standard working hours; accommodating the business as needed
  • Ability to understand tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to view, read, and interpret documents, safety rules, and standard operating procedures
  • Required to communicate using telephone or email

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload delivery vehicles; pick, pack, and stage transfer part orders from Production to Service PDCs and Service Centers.
  • Move materials into service-ready packaging. Made in house repack operations to include packaging body, plastics, and propulsion parts.
  • Utilize gantry crane to package propulsion parts into ship ready crates.
  • Manage the loading/unloading of internal shuttle movements between campus sites.
  • Utilize SAP/EWM to confirm tasks, ensuring physical inventory matches system storage locations.
  • Protect outbound shipping quality to ensure the network achieves excellence; identify and log discrepancies accordingly.
  • Operate several types of powered industrial equipment (PIT) including sit down and stand up forklifts.
  • Apply LEAN practices (5S, waste identification) and lead/participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizens) to optimize repack and shipping flows.
  • Strictly follow EHS and Dangerous Goods (DG) guidelines; utilize proper lifting techniques and PPE at all times.
  • Understand, utilize, and provide feedback on Standard Work Sheets (SWS) and training checklists.
