About The Position

Rankings.io is hiring a senior video editor and motion designer for a remote independent contractor engagement. Working closely with the US-based team and internal marketing team, this role will create video and motion content for Rankings.io, PIM (Personal Injury Mastermind), PIMCON, and the company’s other brands. The work supports original shows and other video initiatives across short-form content, podcasts, campaigns, events, and brand storytelling. The role calls for a video editor and storyteller who can shape raw footage into engaging narratives using pacing, sound, motion, and design. AI is expected to be a core part of the creative workflow, used to generate visuals, develop concepts, solve creative problems, and expand what can be achieved in an edit. The editor will combine traditional tools such as Premiere Pro and After Effects with AI workflows, contribute to the creative standard, and help develop repeatable production systems as the company scales. This is a fully remote, long-term engagement for contractors in eligible countries. The monthly retainer is $2,500–$3,500 USD, invoiced by the contractor. Candidates need strong English communication skills and availability for scheduled collaboration during US Central or Eastern Time hours. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and legal compliance. Contractors who access company systems and client data must maintain Huntress endpoint security software for the duration of the engagement; this does not give Rankings.io remote access to or control over their devices.

Requirements

Provide a portfolio with 3–5 work examples.
At least 8 years of professional experience in video editing, motion graphics, or visual design, with AI as a core part of the creative workflow.
Strong command of composition, typography, pacing, color, animation, and sound.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with experience in Photoshop or Illustrator.
Meaningful experience using AI throughout production, beyond basic prompting or automated captions.
Hands-on experience with ComfyUI or comparable visual generation workflows.
Experience using Claude or similar tools for concept development, scripting, workflow support, or automation.
Ability to refine generated content, resolve visual inconsistencies, and make intentional creative decisions.
Strong organization and communication skills, and ability to work independently.
Strong English communication skills and availability for scheduled collaboration during US Central or Eastern Time hours.
Must reside in an eligible country; contractors located in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, or the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, or Zaporizhzhia regions are ineligible.
Contractors accessing Rankings.io systems and client data must maintain Huntress endpoint security software for the duration of the engagement.

Responsibilities

Edit compelling videos for social media, podcasts, paid campaigns, service launches, events, and brand storytelling.
Create motion graphics, animated typography, and visual sequences that strengthen the story.
Use AI to generate and refine imagery, footage, backgrounds, and other creative assets.
Combine original footage, AI-generated visuals, sound, and motion design into cohesive finished work.
Turn longer recordings, interviews, podcasts, and webinars into focused short-form content with strong hooks, pacing, and clear messaging.
Build repeatable workflows that increase production capacity while maintaining visual quality and brand consistency.
Collaborate with creative, content, and marketing teams to translate briefs into effective video.
Help set the creative standard and shape the company’s video production practices as they scale.
