About The Position

The Senior Vice President of Corporate Development is responsible for leading the company's growth through strategic mergers, acquisitions, investments, and other corporate development initiatives. This executive will own the M&A lifecycle, including deal sourcing and pipeline development, target evaluation, valuation and financial modeling, due diligence management, transaction execution, and post-close integration oversight. Working closely with the CEO, CFO, executive leadership team, private equity sponsors, and sellers, the SVP of Corporate Development will develop and execute a disciplined acquisition strategy that supports the company's growth objectives, expands market presence, strengthens capabilities, and creates shareholder value. This role requires a highly strategic and execution-oriented leader with deep M&A experience, exceptional financial acumen, and a proven ability to lead complex integrations across multiple functional disciplines. This position is eligible for the KIG Annual Bonus and equity as determined by the Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or M&A leadership roles.
  • Proven track record leading acquisitions from sourcing through integration.
  • Extensive experience building acquisition pipelines and managing transaction processes.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis capabilities.
  • Experience leading complex due diligence efforts across multiple functional areas.
  • Demonstrated success managing post-merger integration programs.
  • Exceptional executive presence, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support acquisition sourcing, diligence, and integration activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's corporate development and acquisition strategy aligned with strategic growth objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors, and private equity sponsors regarding acquisition opportunities and strategic investments.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities, prioritize acquisition candidates while establishing and maintain relationships with PE sponsors, attorneys, and bankers.
  • Conduct strategic assessments of potential transactions and provide recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Accountable for deal evaluation and transaction execution including leading target assessments, directing valuation analyses and investment return.
  • Lead negotiations of letters of intent, purchase agreements, and transaction structures in partnership with internal and external advisors. Coordinate financing discussions and support capital deployment decisions.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for all due diligence activities. Design and oversee comprehensive diligence plans covering Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, HR, Operations, IT, Environmental Health & Safety, Marketing, and Compliance.
  • Identify transaction risks, integration challenges, investment considerations, and synergy opportunities. Develop mitigation strategies and provide decision-making recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Responsible for integration management and value creation activities including cross functional integration planning and execution.
  • Monitor integration milestones, risks, costs, synergies and outcomes while facilitating alignment across leadership.
  • May support other corporate initiatives as needed.
