The position also involves monitoring production goals, ensuring accuracy, troubleshooting delivery issues, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. Developing efficient processes, identifying cost reduction strategies, and analyzing performance measures are key. In unionized facilities, the role includes assisting HR and the VP Operations with collective bargaining agreements and grievance procedures. The role involves direct supervision of Transportation Managers and transportation associates, and indirect supervision of drivers.
