About The Position

Toyota’s TMNA Final Assembly Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated PE Seibi Assembly to join our conveyor / AMR team. The primary responsibility of this role is to support FAE PE with the procurement, design and trial of new or modified equipment for NAMC’s assembly manufacturing conveyance. (including, but not limited to, various conveyors, transfers, AGVs, AMRs)

Requirements

  • Associate technical degree (or higher), or equivalent experience
  • Strong PLC programming experience, Toyopuc, AB, Omron, Siemens
  • Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings
  • Understanding of pneumatics
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment and implement countermeasures
  • Ability to travel up to 50% at times (including international travel
  • Ability to work up to 30% overtime when required
  • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Industrial Maintenance related field
  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of safety scanner set up and programming
  • Knowledge of vision systems setup and integration
  • Knowledge of various industrial controls networking, Ethernet IP, TCIP, FLnet, ProfiNet
  • Understanding of Toyota Assembly AVI
  • Toyota PE Seibi experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, Power-Point, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with mentoring and/or technical training.
  • Knowledge of CAD / CATIA
  • Knowledge of motion controllers (VFD)

Responsibilities

  • PLC/SPLC programming Toyopuc, AB, Omron, Siemens
  • Troubleshooting, modifying, installation of various sub-components of vision systems, safety systems, control systems, AGV and AMR units.
  • Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended
  • Prepare and confirm new Assembly equipment at the vendor and NAMC’s during installation
  • Support Assembly Seibi activity at North American Manufacturing Companies from design to installation and to start of production.
  • Develop equipment countermeasures during set up/trials/SOP
  • Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including Japan, Canada, Mexico. Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays and the ability to work off shifts when required
