About The Position

The Senior Presales Architect is a senior-level technical expert who plays a pivotal role in the sales process. They're the bridge between a company's sales team and its technical solutions, using their deep product knowledge and industry expertise to understand a client's business needs and design a compelling technical solution. They're not just selling a product; they're selling a vision and a strategy for how that product will solve a client's problems. The Senior Technical Architect will be responsible for supporting and providing technical subject matter expertise for the US Federal Motorola Solutions Account team and Federal Video Security & Access Control Specialist team which includes Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The Senior Technical Architect will be responsible for high value solution designs across Motorola and / or third party technologies based on customer needs and requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience in needs analysis and solution design OR 11+ years of experience in needs analysis and solution design
Engineering, IT, or Computer Science bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a necessary security clearance as required by government contract
Experience working with the Federal Government
Strong ability to draw out customer needs / requirements
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent presentation and demo skills
Practice of selling for outcomes and capabilities versus product
Highly motivated and strong team player
Experience with Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD)
Experience working with telephony protocols such as SIP and h.323
Experience with IP network design and administration
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
