About The Position

The Sr. Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the manufacturing activities within the department, including the allocations of production employees to each work center or production line for the purpose of meeting daily customer demand and production schedule.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of three to four years of related experience.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Basic understanding of computers.
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills.
  • Good communication, organization, and project management skills with the ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety.
  • Utilize hand and power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining the job orders and their priority.
  • Assist with shift start-up ensuring all people, materials and equipment have been accounted for.
  • Obtain work orders, labels and any other documentation for the production lines.
  • Contacts engineering or quality if work order or paperwork is unclear.
  • Works with Planning to prioritize and execute the daily schedule to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Assist utility operators with change overs and maintaining inventory levels as needed.
  • Checks for accuracy throughout the assembly process, including size, color, quantities and quality.
  • Manages multiple projects at the same time and stays focused on task.
  • Train new employees and coach existing employees.
  • Performs activities of associates, when necessary.
  • Ensures processes are being followed and reports issues related to safety, quality or production to the Supervisor.
  • Have an active role in the company’s continuous improvement program to achieve plans for future growth within the company.
  • Maintain and support a safe, clean work environment by complying with the company’s safety standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
