About The Position

Compeer Financial is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Consultant to play a key role in serving and expanding our Tax & Accounting business in the Rochester market. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who can work independently, develop business opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor to agricultural producers and agribusinesses. A typical day involves providing tax planning, tax preparation, and consulting services to individual, partnership, and corporate clients. The role also focuses on developing trusted client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen Compeer's Tax & Accounting business, and collaborating with team members across Compeer to deliver exceptional client service and comprehensive financial solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required or in progress.
  • Advanced experience in tax planning and tax preparation, preferably with agricultural or business clients.
  • Proven ability to work independently, build client relationships, and contribute to business growth.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tax planning, tax preparation, and consulting services to individual, partnership, and corporate clients.
  • Develop trusted client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen Compeer's Tax & Accounting business.
  • Collaborate with team members across Compeer to deliver exceptional client service and comprehensive financial solutions.
