About The Position

Amazon is seeking a talented Sr. Tax Analyst to join its WW Tax Reporting team. The Amazon tax department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment. This position will contribute to Amazon's worldwide income tax accounting process across interim and annual reporting periods — owning key deliverables spanning global tax calculations, account reconciliations, and month-end close. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
• Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Corptax tax return and provision preparation or equivalent software
• Knowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similar
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience with Oracle, Essbase, TM1 and similar tools
• CPA, or Master's degree
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to present tax matters to non-tax stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Prepare global tax calculations and comprehensive supporting documentation across all reporting periods
• Conduct worldwide account reconciliations and develop detailed roll forward analyses
• Own month-end close deliverables, coordinating cross-functionally to ensure timely completion
• Prepare analytics and reports for external auditors and senior finance leadership
• Evaluate and optimize tax technology systems, implementing automated solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability
