About The Position

Alumni Ventures is seeking a seasoned Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to play a pivotal role in scaling our high-performing teams. As a strategic leader within the People & Culture function, you will drive enterprise-wide hiring initiatives, consult with senior stakeholders, and lead efforts to continually improve our hiring practices and employer brand. Your expertise in full-cycle recruiting, talent program management, and data-informed hiring strategies will be key to attracting and retaining top talent aligned with AV’s mission and values. This position is on-site 5-days per week in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead-level recruiting role.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Greenhouse) and sourcing platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to hire across multiple functions and levels in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments.
  • Deep knowledge of sourcing strategies, candidate engagement best practices, and behavioral interviewing techniques.
  • Experience building and managing talent programs, including early career pipelines and campus initiatives.
  • Expertise in talent analytics and data storytelling; ability to influence decisions through insights.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, consulting, and communication skills.
  • A strategic, collaborative mindset with a passion for building inclusive, high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders, aligning hiring strategies with business goals and workforce planning.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across multiple functions and levels, from emerging talent to senior leadership roles.
  • Architect and evolve innovative sourcing and engagement strategies to target high-potential and diverse candidate pools.
  • Collaborate with the VP, People & Culture on workforce planning, hiring forecasts, and organizational design needs.
  • Design and implement structured, competency-based interviewing frameworks and tools (e.g., scorecards, assessments).
  • Guide hiring teams in inclusive interviewing and evaluation practices, ensuring consistency and objectivity.
  • Conduct high-impact intake, qualification, and closing conversations, managing key stages of the recruitment journey.
  • Champion a seamless, high-touch candidate experience, acting as a steward of the AV employer brand.
  • Lead end-to-end strategy and execution for AV’s early talent programs (NextGen Internship, Venture Fellows, University Recruiting).
  • Expand strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry organizations to build visibility and talent pipelines.
  • Own the design and continuous improvement of early-career engagement, evaluation, and onboarding experiences.
  • Own recruiting metrics and analytics, developing dashboards to monitor pipeline health, time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, DEI outcomes, and more.
  • Drive process and system improvements that enhance scalability, candidate equity, and hiring efficiency.
  • Collaborate on ATS and CRM optimization to enhance recruiter and hiring manager workflows and reporting capabilities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders across AV, balancing urgency with long-term hiring quality and culture fit.
  • Role model AV’s core values, advocating for inclusivity, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster an exceptional candidate and employee experience through strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration.
