This position has responsibility and authority for creating, troubleshooting, and supporting PowerShell scripts, as well as providing engineering support for the Windows server platform, including virtual server provisioning. The role involves updating and managing documentation, performing root cause analysis for production outages, and providing engineering support for Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and Sites and Services. Additionally, the position will engineer VMware and AHV using tools like Terraform and Ansible, research and implement industry security hardening best practices, and adhere to IT access-management and change control procedures. The engineer will receive and respond to escalations, build towards automation and self-service, and collaborate with team members to support IT strategy execution effectively. The role also requires staying updated on industry best practices in risk management and integrating new methods, as well as providing engineering support for other technologies managed by the Server team, including Exchange, Azure, Proofpoint, Box, Logic Monitor, Okta Single-Sign on and MFA, and enterprise monitoring. The engineer will also design, document, build, test, and deploy new or existing solutions and technologies.
