About The Position

Lead systems engineering efforts for Department of Defense intelligence, electronic warfare, and cyber systems. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives to establish and maintain digital engineering baselines for intelligence, EW, and cyber systems. You will develop and manage Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts and system views to support program architecture decisions, and ensure Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) compliance across defense systems and programs. Additionally, you will develop product roadmaps and technology insertion strategies for next-generation C5ISR capabilities, and provide System-of-Systems (SoS) engineering leadership to establish technical baselines and architectural direction. You will interface with government program offices and other defense contractors on complex system integration efforts.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (required)
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of systems engineering experience with complex DoD systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading MBSE initiatives using tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar SysML platforms
  • Proven experience developing DoDAF products (OV, SV, TV) for ACAT programs or major system acquisitions
  • Strong understanding of MOSA, SOSA, and CMOSS open architecture standards and implementation
  • Experience with C5ISR, SIGINT, EW, or intelligence systems architecture and integration
  • Knowledge of systems engineering processes per IEEE 15288, EIA 632, or DoD systems engineering guidelines
  • Experience with requirements management and traceability using tools like DOORS, Jama, or equivalent
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills with ability to brief senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technical direction

  • Knowledge of geospatial data frameworks and Multi-INT integration
  • Familiarity with cloud architectures and hybrid on-premises/cloud system designs
  • Previous experience supporting government intelligence program offices
  • Experience with digital engineering and digital thread concepts

Responsibilities

  • Lead MBSE methodology implementation using SysML and digital engineering tools to transition from document-centric to model-centric engineering
  • Develop and maintain DoDAF operational viewpoints (OV), system viewpoints (SV), and technical standards viewpoints to support capability analysis and system integration
  • Establish and enforce MOSA, SOSA, and CMOSS compliance across hardware and software architectures to enable interoperability and technology refresh
  • Create and maintain product roadmaps identifying technology gaps, modernization opportunities, and pre-planned product improvements (P3I)
  • Perform requirements analysis, architecture trade studies, and capability mapping across tactical and enterprise intelligence systems
  • Lead technical baseline reviews, Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), and architecture governance activities
  • Support SIGINT/EW modernization, open architectures, and advanced prototyping initiatives
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, software engineering, AI/ML, and test & evaluation
