As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will exhibit expert-level skills in requirements engineering, systems integration, Verification & Validation (V&V), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). You will oversee and lead complex system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management activities. You will be responsible for major project deliverables, leveraging deep knowledge in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are vital as you influence project direction, mentor team members, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
  • Expert proficiency with Systems modeling and simulation tools.
  • Proven leadership experience in systems engineering.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple Engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to serve as the technical liaison between Navy labs at Naval Air Station Patuxent River (PAX) and SNC engineering teams.
  • Ability to diagnose issues on existing Multi-Intelligence Sensor Development (MISD) platforms to proactively recommend solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with SIGINT/ELINT systems.
  • Experience with programming languages, inclusive of C, C++, Linux, and Python.
  • Ability to foster relationships with end users to capture the voice of the customer in product development and sustainment.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with counterintelligence (CI) poly and privileged access (PRIVAC) or the ability to obtain the clearance and/or PRIVAC.
