The Processing, Guidance and Controls (PG&C) Center within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Directorate consists of Guidance, Navigation, and Control; Signal Processing; and Modeling and Simulation disciplines for Effectors. The PG&C Center is hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer - Advanced RF Scene and Sensor Modeler to provide simulated environments for testing of missile effectors through 6DOF modeling, RF scene modeling, RF sensor modeling and RF analysis of RF simulation capabilities. As the Sr. Systems Engineer - Advanced RF Scene and Sensor Modeler you will serve as a an expert on RF scene and sensor modeling assisting on the execution of related contracts to a Naval Power program. This position is an onsite role based in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience on a missile program
  • Experience with modeling an RF System, both common and advanced phenomenology
  • Experience designing, developing, and validating Simulations to Government standards
  • Experience with object-oriented languages and other languages such as C, C++, and Python in a Linux environment
  • Experience with design and analysis for 6DOF simulations
  • Experience working with others in technical and/or functional capacities within an engineering environment working on modeling and simulation
  • Experience with Design of Experiments and High Processor Computing resources
  • Current and active U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required with the ability to obtain special program access after start
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • An Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
  • Experience using MATLAB and/or Python for evaluation and analysis of data sets
  • Experience using HPC Management tools such as SLURM

Responsibilities

  • Act as a recognized Modeling, Simulation and Analysis subject matter expert in regard to RF modeling and analysis
  • Work with the customer to ensure the credibility of RF presentations of complex scenes
  • Develop and use credible RF simulation models to estimate sub-system level performance and provide pre and post flight test predictions
  • Participate in production, engineering, and field-test environments to test, verify, and validate RF requirements for system performance requirements
  • Provide reports on RF sub system validation
