About The Position

The Sr. Systems Administrator will: Coordinate infrastructure installation/upgrade/support activities between Mckesson, infrastructure personnel, and systems analysts. Work as a liaison between the SPUH infrastructure team, Clinical/Business IT teams, and Mckesson support to ensure that infrastructure/Paragon related patches, updates, environment changes, and upgrades are properly prepared for and communicated to Clinical/Business IT teams. Be responsible for monitoring clinical system backups, and ensuring that all paragon/infrastructure monitoring technologies are functional and enhanced as needed. Perform systems administration and management activities for the assigned system i.e., day- to-day maintenance, system patches, performance monitoring, and assurance that backup and archival procedures are executed per guidelines. Support applications throughout the hospital in terms of product evaluation, hardware/software resource requirements, installation, and ongoing support.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or Certification from a certified computer school
  • Minimum of five (5) years of systems administration experience.
  • Capability to prioritize and organize heavy workflow.
  • Equipment operated: Windows Servers, Network Appliances, Computers, PDAs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Products, commands and utilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work weekends, holidays and nights if required.
