The Sr. Systems Administration Engineer will serve as a key technical owner for all Rutland site infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and OTN. This role partners closely with shopfloor users, engineering, and site leadership to deploy, support, and continuously improve technical solutions that directly enable Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). Responsibilities include day-to-day operations and lifecycle management, including issue resolution, root cause analysis, patching, upgrades/enhancements, and delivery of infrastructure projects. In this role, you will work at the intersection of IT/OT, hardware, software, and manufacturing operations, translating shopfloor and business needs into stable, secure, and high-performing solutions. You will support and improve manufacturing technologies such as machine connectivity, industrial I/O, sensors, IoT-enabled devices, and network maintenance and upgrades. The role also requires the ability to work effectively with electronic hardware, take a proactive approach to hands-on troubleshooting, and read and interpret networking schematics to support troubleshooting, integration, and implementation. The ideal candidate brings strong technical and networking infrastructure depth, a customer-driven mindset, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in manufacturing technology environments.
