About The Position

Paragon 28, a premier Zimmer Biomet company, is looking for a dynamic Senior Supply Chain Planner to join the team on-site in Englewood, Colorado. Take ownership of a high-impact supply network. You will drive the procurement and strategic planning of life-changing medical devices, translating net requirements into seamless supplier execution. By masterfully analyzing data, navigating capacity constraints, and proactively mitigating risks, you will keep inventory moving efficiently. This role serves as a vital cross-functional bridge, collaborating across departments to align global operations with core business goals. Beyond managing the day-to-day supply chain, you will step up as a leader by mentoring and developing junior supply planners.

Requirements

Four-year degree (B.S/B.A.) strongly preferred; relevant experience and certifications without a degree will be considered.
Minimum 5 years of experience in related field such as supply planning, purchasing, or supply chain required, preferably in medical device environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including expert level Excel skills.
High volume purchasing/planning experience required.
Highly effective communication skills.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with detailed product line forecasts; familiarity with Sales & Operations Planning business management process.
Demonstrated success in driving process improvement.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, and time management skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with various cross functional teams.

Nice To Haves

APICS CSCP/CPIM certification preferred.
SAP ECC or S4 experience preferred.
Strategic Sourcing, opportunity analysis, and strong negotiation skills.
Previous medical device experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess supplier capability, capacity, and cost to allocate annual spend to qualified suppliers optimizing for service, quality, and cost.
Participate in contract negotiations with external contract-manufacturing and other supply partners.
Evaluate bids and award business to suppliers based on best quality, price and lead time performance.
Place and manage purchase orders.
Manage basic and advanced planning parameters to ensure optimal net requirements planning.
Review net requirements against supply and demand; manage open order exceptions.
Regularly review KPIs; develop and execute strategies to address unfavorable results.
Identify and lead closure of business process gaps; collaborate with stakeholders to drive business process improvement for planning, procurement, and inventory.
Lead regular supplier production reviews to ensure needed capacity and on-time delivery.
Lead quarterly business reviews with suppliers and key internal stakeholders.
Monitor inventory levels to mitigate stockouts while maintaining cost effective operational expenses.
Coordinate new supplier qualification activities.
Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments such as Engineering, Quality, and Finance.
Visit existing and potential supplier facilities to evaluate manufacturing processes, capabilities, recent investments, potential for growth, performance trends, etc.
