About The Position

The Senior Supply Chain Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight for the entire supply chain function. This role is responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies, optimizing processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term vision and objectives. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 11+ years of experience in operations or a related area.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 15 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain principles, and advanced contract management.
  • Has industry knowledge and best practices
  • Highly proficient with developing and presenting business case materials to all levels of the organization to gain understanding, alignment and action.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Commodity, Category and Sourcing Management.
  • Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand technical requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation strategy skills.
  • Candidate must have extensive Supply Chain Management skills.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
  • Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale supply chain operations.
  • CPSM (all levels) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.
  • Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P)/Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems.

  • Continuously improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support program goals.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective material flow.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Partner with senior leadership, program management, and other departments to ensure cohesive supply chain operations.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to drive supply chain visibility and achievement of goals.
  • Manage the preparation and execution of capital, contract equipment, and facility budgets to support business needs.
  • Lead the exploration and implementation of advanced technologies and innovative solutions to drive supply chain excellence.
