About The Position

Raytheon has an opening for a Sr. Supervisor, Production Control at our Andover, MA facility within the Mission Components value stream. The successful candidate has experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems in a manufacturing environment and utilizes data-driven decision making to enable effective material and workforce forecasting. This role requires successful daily interaction with cross functional teams, programs, and business units to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include program, planning, production control, operations, quality, and manufacturing/test/design engineering. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining execution plans to meet critical customer deadlines with supply chain strategies and financial targets.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience within planning, scheduling, production control, Manufacturing, operations, Supply Chain, or other relevant project management experience.
  • Experience managing daily team operations or equivalent leadership responsibilities.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization, as well as with a large external customer base, to accomplish tasks.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (special program access or equivalent)
  • Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology (CORE) and/or tools such as lean manufacturing, diagnostic, process optimization and continuous improvement
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook/Skype

Responsibilities

  • Managing a high visibility, high mix area.
  • Material Availability Analysis, Tracking, and Reporting.
  • Manage Kit Readiness including working with cross-functional team in BOM, Material Master, Process Engineering, Operations, and Document Control.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Planning and Scheduling professionals to achieve program and organizational goals.
  • Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production and customer demands.
  • Monitor and analyze production schedules, material availability, and potential shortages or delays, proactively mitigating issues to avoid schedule impacts.
  • Drive effective communication and collaboration between departments, including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering.
  • Propose and implement solutions to address potential work stoppages or delays, ensuring factory operations run smoothly.
  • Facilitate compliance with Department of Defense safety standards and initiatives.
  • Manage material movement between warehouses, production areas, and customers, ensuring on-time delivery of components and finished goods.
  • Provide regular material status updates during Line of Balance (LOB) and other program review meetings.
