We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Sr. Structural Engineer to join our growing Illinois structural team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on complex structural projects while making a lasting impact on communities we serve. Whether designing new structures, evaluating existing structures, or collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, innovative, and cost effective engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 15+ years or more experience in the design of bridge and/or buildings
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles
  • Ability to communicate with clients utilizing excellent written and verbal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with bridges, transportation structures, municipal facilities, commercial buildings, or public infrastructure
  • Familiarity with Illinois Department of Transportation policies and procedures
  • Illinois SE license or progress toward SE licensure
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Bentley Connect Open Roads Software, and/or AASHTOware bridge rating software, or other bridge design software such as MDX

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze steel, concrete, timber, and masonry buildings and bridges
  • Prepare structural calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports
  • Perform structural inspections and condition assessments
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and public agencies
  • Review construction submittments and respond to field questions
  • Participate in project planning, budgeting, estimating, and scheduling
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, AASHTO, IDOT, and industry standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence
