About The Position
Vitesse Systems is looking for a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join the team in Longmont, Colorado! As a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will lead complex sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and cost-reduction strategies to support the company’s operational and financial goals. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in aerospace or defense subcontracting
- Experience in negotiating vendor contracts >$1M
- Experience using Excel
- Experience working in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with major satellite subcontracting a plus
Responsibilities
- Conducts strategic sourcing activities supporting the organization's objectives for value-driven vendor partnerships focused on risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Participates in supplier negotiations and contract preparation
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders to define material, quality, and service requirements and standards.
- Determine and mitigate risks with Source Selection team as part of source selection decisions.
- Supports vendor partnerships and monitors performance using established KPI's, goals, and scorecards.
- Integrates new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials.
- Reviews market intelligence and analysis to anticipate price fluctuations.
