Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement experience with a focus on strategic sourcing.
  • Extensive experience in global sourcing methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of SAP or other equivalent ERP systems (preferred).
  • Previous experience in the HVAC, Engineering, Fire Safety, Security, or a related industry (a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of assigned categories, including industry trends, competition, and future innovations.
  • Design and implement sourcing strategies for your assigned commodities, optimizing the sourcing footprint and driving cost reduction through various methods like LCC sourcing and value engineering.
  • Maintain regular communication and alignment with the extended business unit procurement team to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
  • Lead supplier contract and price negotiations, securing optimal terms and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Identify and implement strategies for trade working capital improvement, purchasing control, and cost analysis.
  • Actively manage the supply base, driving supplier performance and development initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and resolve supplier delivery, quality, or commercial issues.
  • Leverage data and analytics to optimize procurement processes and make informed "make vs. buy" decisions.
  • Collaborate with international teams to leverage purchasing opportunities across all regions in the business unit.
  • Achieve or exceed category-related goals such as cost savings, quality improvement, and supplier rationalization.
