About The Position

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Staff MFG Test Software Developer to lead the design, development, and installation of advanced software solutions. In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for translating complex user requirements, defining system functionality, and architecting code in various languages. You must possess a deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to testing and deployment. Ultimately, the role of the Senior Staff MFG Test Software Developer is to build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with strict coding standards and technical design, while also mentoring junior developers and driving the technical vision of the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Expert in Python, Linux, and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with hardware validation, automation, and test tools such as IPMI, Redfish, FIO, Linpack, mprime, and memtester.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including BGP, DHCP Relay, ECMP, and data center switching/routing.
  • Experience with VMware, virtualization infrastructure, PXE boot, DHCP, NGINX, and SDN technologies.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including GitLab, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with or interest in AI-enabled software development and system automation.

  • Strong troubleshooting, cross-functional collaboration, and manufacturing test automation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of test systems and procedures for manufacturing processes. This includes architecting test plans, test cases, and test scripts to comprehensively assess the functionality and performance of hardware components or devices such as motherboard, memory, CPU, storage (SSD, HDD, NVMe) and PCIE devices (NIC, GPU, Mezz cards, RAID cards).
  • Architect, validate, release, and maintain robust test software and scripts that automate the testing process. This software includes complex code for controlling test equipment, collecting and analyzing large datasets, and generating detailed test reports.
  • Drive support and maintenance strategies for the manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11) level test software and infrastructure deployed at our global production facilities.
  • Standardize and maintain comprehensive manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11) documentation of test procedures, specifications, and infrastructure.
  • Lead and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including test engineers, manufacturing engineers, and failure analysis engineers, to ensure strict alignment on testing requirements and quality standards.
  • Drive the adoption of the latest advancements in testing technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices to keep manufacturing processes highly competitive and cutting-edge.
  • Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineering staff.
