About The Position

The Sr Staff Technical Program Manager supports complex robotics development programs within Prototype Operations. The role works across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, test, quality, and repair to drive execution in a fast-paced, high-mix hardware development environment. The position drives prototype and low-volume production builds from planning through integration, working closely with build technicians, engineers, and leadership to identify risks, remove blockers, and maintain build velocity. It connects technical execution with program-level deliverables, makes real-time decisions, and escalates issues as needed. The role calls for a technical, systems-oriented leader who can work independently amid ambiguity and build and scale operations in evolving hardware environments. The position owns initiatives across multiple R&D programs, establishes strategies and execution plans, ensures operational readiness, develops workflows and systems, translates technical requirements into operational plans, investigates systemic risks, defines performance measures, and builds repeatable operating models. It also promotes execution discipline and a high-performance, team-first culture on the floor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, manufacturing operations, or related technical environments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs in complex hardware environments such as robotics, aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing operations, including demand planning, MRP, supply chain, inventory management, work orders, and production execution.
  • Experience with ERP, MES, and PLM systems and understanding of how processes, data, and transactions connect across the operational lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to identify systemic gaps, develop scalable operational processes, and drive cross-functional improvements.
  • Strong program management, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to independently drive execution in ambiguous environments.
  • Hands-on mindset and comfort working closely with engineers, technicians, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing or improving ERP, MES, MRP, or PLM systems, such as Tulip, Arena, Rootstock, Oracle, or SAP.
  • Experience with prototype, NPI, and low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing.
  • Experience developing integrated workflows across engineering changes, BOMs, material planning, inventory, and manufacturing execution.
  • Experience scaling operations, improving build readiness, and driving operational process improvements.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Own complex, high-impact initiatives across multiple R&D programs, establishing strategies, execution plans, milestones, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to ensure hardware, processes, resources, and infrastructure are ready to support evolving program needs.
  • Identify operational gaps and develop integrated workflows, tools, and systems that improve execution, traceability, and efficiency.
  • Translate evolving technical requirements into executable operational plans while balancing development speed, quality, and scalability.
  • Identify systemic risks and dependencies, lead root-cause investigations, and implement sustainable solutions across organizational boundaries.
  • Define meaningful KPIs and management mechanisms to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate tradeoffs, communicate risks, and drive alignment among engineering, operations, and senior leadership.
  • Develop repeatable processes and operating models that support increasing hardware complexity, program volume, and organizational growth.
  • Champion operational clarity and execution discipline while fostering a high-performance, team-first culture on the floor.
  • Drive prototype and low-volume production builds from planning through integration, identifying risks, removing blockers, and maintaining build velocity.
