About The Position

The Sr. Staff IT Systems Engineer will work with our team to provide support and advance a wide range of infrastructure and services throughout the global IT environment. As the Sr. Staff IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing on-premise infrastructure. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, applying deep technical expertise to solve complex issues across multiple IT domains. Please note this is NOT a Dev Ops role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of Windows systems administration in a global environment
  • Deep expertise in Active Directory/Entra ID and ADSI
  • Advanced Knowledge of DNS/DHCP/GPO
  • Solid understanding of hybrid environments and sufficient exposure to cloud platforms
  • Proficiency with Okta, Duo, or other enterprise-class identity management, MFA, and authorization/authentication system (e.g. SAML)
  • Working understanding of SQL server deployment and management
  • Experience with Veeam, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
  • Advanced ability in scripting languages and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible)
  • Experience with configuration management and endpoint management tools
  • Experience supporting enterprise collaboration platforms (e.g. M365)
  • Knowledge of system monitoring tools
  • Background in service management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Strong experience with VMware ESXi and cloud-based virtualization (highly preferred)
  • Strong experience with Failover Clustering and DFS/DFSR (highly preferred)
  • Devops experience (e.g. GitHub, CI/CD, SQL) (highly preferred)
  • Experience supporting mobile device management platforms (highly preferred)
  • Knowledge of zero trust architecture (highly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable and highly available Windows servers and Active Directory, enterprise IT applications, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and other infrastructure components
  • Collaborate with information security and application teams to implement best practices, perform remediation, manage patches and updates, and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and industry frameworks
  • Lead or contribute to a variety of infrastructure projects and initiatives
  • Implement automation for systems administration tasks using a variety of tools
  • Monitor performance, proactively identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards
  • Collaborate with and manage third-party vendors and consultants to support maintenance and project delivery
  • Ensure that IT systems customer compliance requirements and follow secure design principles
  • Provide third tier support to IT teams and internal customers; participate in the on-call rotation
  • Create and maintain documentation for system specifications, designs, processes, and issues
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends; provide insights and recommendations to improve or advance company systems
  • Train and mentor junior engineers; foster knowledge sharing and professional development
