About The Position

Runway is seeking a Product Manager to build AI tools for its customers and creators. The role has end-to-end ownership across the product lifecycle, from early-stage research and pre-training through post-training, user experience, launch, go-to-market strategy, and pricing. The Product Manager will translate research capabilities and customer needs into valuable products, serving as a bridge between users and internal teams at an early-stage company.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of product management experience, including taking products from zero to one.
• Strong technical foundation, typically demonstrated by a technical or quantitative degree, or professional coding experience before the LLM code-generation era.
• Hands-on fluency with SQL, Python, AI code-generation tools, and version-control best practices.
• Working knowledge of current machine-learning capabilities and products, with the ability to discuss tradeoffs with researchers and engineers.
• Experience working in fast-moving teams and comfort operating amid ambiguity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with generative AI, creative tools, or media products.
• Experience owning product pricing or go-to-market.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy and roadmap from early model development through launch, pricing, and go-to-market.
• Partner with research to shape product development by translating customer needs and model capabilities into product requirements and priorities.
• Work with engineering and design to ship new products, improve existing products, and make technical tradeoffs.
• Define and analyze product metrics, run A/B tests, and use data—including SQL and Python analysis—to validate user pain points and prioritize features.
• Speak with users weekly to uncover use cases and incorporate feedback into product decisions.
• Drive pricing and go-to-market strategy with business teams.
