Sr Staff Product Designer, Document Cloud

AdobeSan Francisco, CA
$158,000 - $301,050

About The Position

The opportunity Adobe Design is seeking a Senior Staff Product Designer to join our Document Cloud Design team, focused on horizontal design leadership across the Acrobat and Express integration. This role sits above any single surface or workstream, and is passionate about elevating coherence and quality as we grow into one connected design practice. What's key to this opportunity is scale. Document Cloud operates with over 850 million monthly active users, and our work sits at the center of how they consume, comprehend, and create. That scale is what makes this moment matter. The opportunity ahead is to evolve the trusted platform that has made us essential to those users, crafting AI assistants and features that expand and improve the efficiency and quality of the work people do, whether they're a student, a small business owner, or a global enterprise.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of product design experience, with a track record demonstrating both organizational level thinking and hands-on design craft across cross-platform execution.
  • Demonstrated experience turning aspirational, high-stakes problems into board level or executive ready vision, not just shipping features within a single team.
  • A history of close collaboration with design, product management, software development, and users from ideation through implementation, across organizational boundaries.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate a multi-level problem space and the strategy behind design decisions to stakeholders of all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Fluency with AI-assisted prototyping tools such as Figma, Cursor, or Claude Code.
  • Experience designing for, or alongside, AI-powered product experiences.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree and/or an advanced degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces, with familiarity applying WCAG conformance criteria; accessibility certifications such as CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Horizontal Unification. Take on work that spans multiple workstreams and teams across Acrobat and Express, focused on elevating coherence and quality as the two design practices grow together.
  • Drive Strategic Design Vision. Shape the design vision for Acrobat x Express, aligning user needs with Adobe's business goals and technology roadmap, and directly influencing Document Cloud strategy.
  • Shape Board Level Vision. Bring an outside perspective to Adobe's most complex design opportunities, translating ambiguous strategic questions into clear direction for executive leadership.
  • Mentor & Influence. Guide designers across both organizations, fostering growth and elevating design quality through feedback, critiques, and collaboration.
  • Prototype and Leverage AI-Driven Workflows. Use AI-assisted prototyping and design tools to accelerate the design process at key moments, turning ambiguity into tangible options fast enough to inform real-time decision making and improve operational efficiency across the team.
  • Represent Adobe Design. Share your work and thought leadership internally and externally through presentations, publications, and events.
