About The Position

About the Role As a Mechanical Design Engineer at ZT Systems, you will play a key role in the design and validation of mechanical assemblies used in our high-performance computer servers. This position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited about innovative, large-scale hardware development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in mechanical and structural design.
  • Familiarity with materials including metals, alloys, and plastics.
  • Experience designing for high-volume manufacturing (e.g., stamping, injection molding, sheet metal, die-cutting).
  • Proficiency with Creo is highly preferred; experience with other 3D CAD systems will be considered.
  • Skilled in DFM , DFA , and statistical tolerance analysis.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with structural FEA (e.g., Creo Simulate) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Create 3D-printed prototypes to support iterative design and testing.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing and field installation or retrofit activities.
  • Analyze technical issues and implement timely, cost-effective solutions.
  • Generate engineering documents including drawings, manuals, and other technical deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Interface directly with customers and suppliers to define mechanical requirements.
  • Support time-sensitive development initiatives alongside systems and development engineering teams.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives for process, quality, and cost improvements.
