We are looking for a Sr. Staff Mechanical Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Sr. Director, Reliability Engineering. Location: This position will be fully Onsite based in Fremont, CA

Requirements

  • Process Automation and Test Equipment Design experience is a requirement
  • Mechanical design expert using Solidworks or other 3d modeling applications is a requirement
  • Design Documentation: Mechanical Detail Drawings, Electrical Wiring, P&ID, Plumbing Diagrams
  • Superior communication skills, (written, verbal and active listening)
  • Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self management with little oversight
  • Ability to manage and lead projects
  • Experience managing external custom machine integrators
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ yrs working in a NPI/Manufacturing Engineering, or Design Development organization

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the design and fabrication of hardware utilizing sheet metal, machined parts, casting, welding and brazing technology (eg. Heat exchangers) is a plus
  • Experience with Screen Printing, Adhesive Dispensing, Curing and working with high temperature ceramics is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop R&D equipment, tools/test fixtures to support feasibility and investigation efforts. These tools/test fixtures are designed, developed and built in-house.
  • Work with Operations and Process engineering teams to design equipment/tools to support production ramp and needs for inspection equipment.
  • Support existing equipment install base in BE Production and in BE Suppliers. This includes troubleshooting issues, debugging, and new feature requests for both hardware and software.
