About The Position

As our Sr Staff IT Systems Engineer, you will be a critical part of our Information Technology team and the backbone of our corporate systems. You will have ownership over key platforms the organization relies on daily, challenged to not only maintain but also enhance systems, automate processes, and strengthen our security posture. This role provides a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally, particularly with our Information Security team, placing you at the center of critical IT operations and strategy.

Requirements

  • Strong 8+ years of experience with relevant background
  • Proven experience in a Systems Engineer or similar role with a strong background in IT infrastructure, support, and automation.
  • Deep, hands-on enterprise-level administrative experience with Google Workspace.
  • Solid scripting skills for automation using languages such as Javascript, Python, or Google Apps Script (GAM).
  • Demonstrated experience with formal change management processes and leading incident response efforts for major incidents.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience executing full lifecycle migrations from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace.
  • Proficiency with email security gateways (e.g., Proofpoint) and knowledge of mail routing, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
  • Familiarity with transactional email platforms (e.g., SendGrid).
  • Experience using ITSM tools, with a strong preference for ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

  • Administratively manage our Google Workspace environment, including user lifecycle, group policies, and application settings for Gmail, Drive, and Gemini.
  • Manage and secure all company email channels, including Google Workspace, security gateways, and transactional email services, ensuring secure and reliable communications.
  • Act as a key responder for IT issues, managing and resolving tickets through ServiceNow to provide timely and effective solutions to colleagues.
  • Serve as a crucial liaison to the Information Security team, proactively implementing security configurations and integrating security best practices into all systems.
  • Champion the strategic use of AI to identify opportunities for self-service solutions that enhance infrastructure efficiency and user empowerment.
  • Apply formal change management procedures to minimize risk and lead incident response efforts to rapidly diagnose and resolve service outages.
  • Independently drive initiatives by defining requirements, building project plans, and managing resources to deliver successful outcomes with minimal direction.
