This role is part of the MPS Strategic Partnerships & Reference Design team in San Jose, focusing on complex Multi-Phase, High-Power designs. The position involves engaging with strategic SoC, CPU, FPGA, Switch, and ASIC customers to secure design wins using MPS products. The Sr. Staff FAE will also define and communicate customer technical needs and industry trends to enhance product positioning.

Requirements

  • BSEE/MSEE with 10+ years power management and analog systems experience.
  • Hands on experience with point-of-load DC-DC power conversion.
  • Ability to interface directly with customers and solve customer problems.
  • Ability to work independently with strong analytical skills, self-motivated and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels written and oral.
  • Oral /written proficiency in English.
  • Willing to drive to local customers and spend time in lab as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multiphase, Intel and/or AMD VR requirements and specifications preferred.
  • Coach newer and less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with strategic SoC, CPU, FPGA, Switch, and ASIC customers to secure design wins incorporating MPS products.
  • Define and share current and emerging customer technical needs, and industry trends to improve tactical and strategic product positioning.
  • Contribute to MPS success through strategic customer engagements and winning key reference designs.
  • Develop a solid technical understanding of MPS products.
  • Provide deep technical support to customers to meet or improve upon customer’s requirements with MPS products, specifically multiphase, high current DC/DC.
  • Bring expertise in complex Mulit-Phase designs, and coach and support other team members in this area.
  • Provide thorough customer design support including schematic and PCB layout review.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow MPS businesses.
  • Support customers across worldwide geographic locations.
  • Gather potential market moves and competitors’ activities to further develop MPS go-to-market and product strategy.
