About The Position

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced engineering leader to serve as Verification & Validation Lead for a strategic ADAS turnkey customer program. The role owns V&V across multiple ADAS stack variants and three ECU platforms, spanning Qualcomm software, customer software integrations, mixed middleware environments, system integration, platform validation, release qualification, simulation, SIL, HIL and vehicle testing. You will translate project, quality, regulatory and customer expectations into a scalable global V&V operating model. You will align requirements, test strategy, coverage, KPIs, release evidence and responsibilities across Qualcomm, OEM and Tier 1 stakeholders, while providing technical leadership to global engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 12+ years of experience in automotive software, systems verification, validation, test engineering or a related domain.
  • 8+ years of experience leading global engineering teams or organizations in a cross-functional or matrix environment.
  • Strong experience with ADAS or automated-driving systems and production-oriented V&V activities.
  • Expert knowledge of test strategy, test planning, test execution, quality assessment and release-readiness reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience with system-level validation across several of the following: software, simulation, SIL, HIL, vehicle, data-driven or release-qualification testing.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical topics clearly and drive cross-company alignment.
  • Experience leading V&V for production ADAS or autonomous-driving customer programs across multiple platforms or product variants.
  • Experience defining requirements-to-test traceability, automated test evidence and reporting workflows.
  • Strong understanding of automotive development, safety and quality frameworks, including ASPICE, ISO 26262 and SOTIF; familiarity with homologation, rating or regulatory expectations is beneficial.
  • Experience working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers on responsibility alignment, platform integration, customer acceptance and technical negotiation.
  • Experience defining and tracking V&V KPIs, maturity levels, coverage metrics, defect indicators and software quality measures.
  • Familiarity with requirements management, test management, issue tracking, CI, data and reporting toolchains.
  • Programming or scripting skills in Python, C/C++ or MATLAB are beneficial.
  • Fluent English and an independent, structured and proactive working style.

Responsibilities

  • Define, align and continuously improve the overall V&V strategy, governance model and quality targets for QC ADAS programs.
  • Translate project, release, customer and quality expectations into clear V&V goals, roadmaps, maturity targets and ramp-up plans.
  • Organize global V&V teams in a scalable matrix structure that balances project delivery with reusable test platforms, methods and expertise.
  • Align roles, interfaces and responsibilities across Qualcomm, OEM and Tier 1 stakeholders to enable efficient end-to-end execution.
  • Define and maintain V&V process descriptions, maturity metrics, escalation paths and high-level software quality indicators.
  • Drive scalable test strategies across core and application V&V, including test focus, variant handling, system-under-test differences and project-specific needs.
  • Lead requirements-to-test coverage traceability and close gaps among requirements, test cases, test results, defects and automated reporting.
  • Establish automation, scenario management, data, tooling and test-infrastructure strategies that support repeatable and efficient validation.
  • Guide data-driven performance evaluation, including data needs, KPI evaluation methods, toolchain readiness and reporting workflows.
  • Drive consistent KPI definitions and evaluation methods so results are meaningful, comparable and actionable across internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead global execution across software verification, system validation, simulation, SIL, HIL, vehicle testing and release qualification.
  • Drive validation across three ECU platforms and multiple ADAS product variants, including Qualcomm software integrated with Qualcomm and customer middleware environments.
  • Oversee planning, creation, alignment and delivery of release-test artefacts for customer milestones and software deliveries.
  • Own objective release-readiness assessment, including quality, coverage, KPI performance, defects, risks, limitations and residual gaps.
  • Ensure customer acceptance, deployment readiness and production-launch quality through clear evidence and disciplined closure of blocking issues.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching and guidance to V&V engineers, test leads and cross-functional contributors across global teams.
  • Communicate V&V strategy, status, risks, trade-offs and key decisions clearly to senior leadership, project teams, customers and partners.
  • Lead resolution of complex cross-team technical and organizational issues, driving decisions and escalating only when required.
  • Build effective collaboration with OEM and Tier 1 stakeholders through clear accountability, technical negotiation and fact-based quality discussions.
