Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking Sr. Staff Systems Engineer to work within Systems Engineering organization. This role reports to the Engineering Integration & Execution (EI&E) leader on a Research & Advanced Design program. This role is located on-site, based at the following location: Melbourne, FL. The selected candidate will lead the Specialty Engineering activities in support of the Systems Engineering IPT lead. This team of skilled engineers has responsibility for Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Environmental Engineering Qualifications (EEQ), Human Systems Integration (HSI), System Safety, and System Security Engineering.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) related discipline and 14 years of engineering experience, Master’s in STEM with 12 years engineering experience OR PhD in STEM with 10 years of engineering experience.
Previous experience with at least one of the following disciplines: Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Environmental Engineering Qualifications (EEQ), Human Systems Integration (HSI), System Safety, System Security Engineering.
Previous experience with Cameo.
Active DoD Secret clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) with the ability to obtain a DOD Top Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to commencement of employment.
U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with at least two of the following disciplines: Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Environmental Engineering Qualifications (EEQ), Human Systems Integration (HSI), System Safety, System Security Engineering.
Experience with Agile workflows.
Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
Proven ability to brief technical presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the Specialty Engineering activities in support of the Systems Engineering IPT lead.
Operate in an agile team environment.
Work with Section Managers to staff the Specialty team.
Assign tasks to Systems Engineers on the Specialty team.
Represent the Specialty team at staff meetings, customer meetings, technical interchange meetings, etc.
Facilitate cross-IPT discussion to ensure alignment of Specialty requirements, design, and implementation.
