About The Position

At Stryker Endoscopy, our Computer Vision team develops advanced image analysis technologies that support clinical decision-making, improve visualization, reduce surgeon workload, and ultimately improve patient outcomes. We are building next-generation AI and computer vision capabilities that directly impact patient care and help shape the future of medical technology. We are seeking a Senior Staff Computer Vision Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design and development of advanced computer vision and machine learning technologies. In this highly visible role, you will influence technical strategy, architect complex AI-enabled systems, mentor engineers, and drive innovation across cutting-edge products and platforms. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical field is required
  • 6+ years of experience developing computer vision and/or machine learning algorithms is required
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience in C++, Python, or similar programming languages is required

  • Experience with CUDA or performance optimization techniques
  • Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, medical devices, aerospace, robotics, automotive, or other safety-critical environments
  • Experience supporting intellectual property development through patents or invention disclosures
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced computer vision and machine learning solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams while influencing architecture and design decisions
  • Architect scalable AI-enabled systems and guide technical tradeoff discussions for complex software platforms
  • Translate customer and business needs into technical strategies, system architectures, and product requirements
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to accelerate innovation
  • Drive technical excellence through design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices
  • Partner with R&D, Product, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
  • Influence technical direction across multiple projects and initiatives
  • Drive innovation through invention disclosures, patents, and technical contributions
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams across North America and India
  • Mentor and develop technical talent across the organization
