Requirements
- Minimum of four to five years accounting and Accounts Payable experience preferably in a credit union or related industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication abilities for liaising with management on vendor contracts and providing support for departmental budget inquiries.
- Solid understanding of GAAP.
- Proficient and accurate use of 10 key calculator and other office machines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of the General Ledger system.
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- Ability to recommend efficiencies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
- Ability to assist in audits.
Responsibilities
- Processing all accounts payable functions with precision and timeliness.
- Month-end close duties, including reclass and accrual journal entries.
- Updating and maintaining the department's annual budget.
- Providing insights into financial performance through various reports.
- Performing general ledger reconciliations as assigned.
