Sr Specialist - User Research Operations

About The Position

The Senior Specialist - User Research Operations supports the planning, coordination, execution, and documentation of user research and human factors studies throughout the product development lifecycle. Working closely with UX Researchers, Human Factors Engineers, and cross-functional teams, this role contributes directly to research activities including usability testing, exploratory user research, heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs, contextual inquiry, ethnographic observation, and simulation-based evaluations. In addition to managing study logistics and operations, the role serves as a hands-on research partner by helping prepare studies, collect data, facilitate research activities, synthesize findings, and continuously improve research practices. The position is designed to build expertise in user-centered design, research methodologies, and human factors engineering while supporting the growth of Front Line Care's user research capabilities.

Requirements

Understanding of user-centered design principles and usability engineering processes.
Familiarity with qualitative research methods.
Familiarity with user research methods including: Usability testing, User interviews, Contextual inquiry, Heuristic evaluations, Cognitive walkthroughs, Ethnographic observation, Workflow analysis
Ability to collect, organize, and synthesize qualitative data.
Strong facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals and end users.
Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent studies.
Experience with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
Interest in developing expertise in human factors, UX research, and research operations.
Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX), Anthropology, Sociology, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing or other Healthcare-related fields, Design Research, Market Research, Or a related discipline OR Associate's degree with 5+ years of directly relevant experience in user research, human factors, clinical research, market research, design research, or healthcare research.

Nice To Haves

3–7 years supporting or conducting user research, human factors studies, market research, clinical research, design research, or related activities.
Experience observing or moderating research sessions.
Experience conducting heuristic evaluations or workflow analyses.
Experience working in healthcare or regulated product development environments.
Experience interacting directly with clinicians, patients, caregivers, or other healthcare stakeholders.
Experience supporting synthesis of qualitative research findings.
