About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist ensures accuracy, integrity, and timely recording of accounts receivable transactions for Yum! Brands’ U.S. brands. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams—including Accounts Receivable, U.S. Control, Franchise Administration, Legal, and Planning—as well as franchisees to support accurate sales reporting, cash application, and compliance with Yum! accounting policies and SOX requirements. This position is remote, with candidates required to reside in the Louisville, KY area. Occasional in-office presence at the Louisville RSC may be expected for trainings, meetings, and other business needs. Salary Range: $54,300 - $60,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and/or 2+ years of relevant accounts receivable or accounting experience.
  • Strong systems proficiency, including JD Edwards and Microsoft Excel (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal capabilities.
  • Resides in or around the Louisville, KY area

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a large private or publicly traded company (preferred).
  • Experience in the QSR or retail environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily bank lockbox activity and ensure accurate loading of franchisee sales into Krise, with timely and complete payment application in JD Edwards; assist with franchisee sales corrections as needed.
  • Prepare daily bank deposit and tracking logs, reconcile banking activity from U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo to JD Edwards, process returned payments, and manually enter ACH and wire deposits.
  • Research and resolve unapplied cash by partnering with franchisees and internal teams; prepare period-end unapplied cash reporting and ensure timely resolution.
  • Respond to brand and franchisee inquiries, including research and resolution; support one-off fee invoices, credit memos, royalty rate changes, write-offs, and franchisee refund requests.
  • Support internal and external audit requests, SOX peer reviews, and special projects.
  • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities in partnership with leadership and IT, leveraging system enhancements and automation initiatives.
