About The Position

The Senior IT Administrator serves as a technical expert responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Linux and Windows servers, system hardware, software, and related infrastructure within a classified/high-security environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the security, uptime, and performance of enterprise systems and networks. To demonstrate success, you will: Integrate with a team of multidiscipline, multileveled System Administrators supporting Linux, Windows, and Network operations. Assist Software Engineers by providing Linux/Windows Infrastructure services in support of development efforts. Partner with Information Security team to provide secure, auditable Linux/Windows systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in network or systems administration.
  • System hardening and auditing to RMF, CMMC, DFARS, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53
  • Advanced understanding of Windows/Linux administration, Active Directory, virtualization, and network protocol
  • Active Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Linux Server and Workstation systems administration on Red Hat based distributions (RHEL9, RHEL8, RHEL7)
  • Experience with network switches
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Certifications RHCSA, RHCE, RHCSS, RHCDS, Security+, CISSP, CISM preferred
  • Configuration management with Ansible/Ansible Automation Platform, AWX, puppet, or chef
  • Basic network administration of layer 2/3 switches
  • Scripting: Proficient in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • Supporting multi-OS environments of Linux, Windows and embedded OS’s
