About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to support the International Integrated Supplier Team (IST). This role requires a hands‑on quality engineer with deep technical expertise in aerospace materials and manufacturing processes, and a proven ability to drive proactive risk mitigation and performance improvement at complex suppliers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant quality experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related quality experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related quality experience.
Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting missile systems or defense aerospace programs
Demonstrated experience managing quality performance for strategic, high‑risk, or highly technical suppliers.
Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, and AS9145.
Excellent technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a cross‑functional, fast‑paced environment.
Six Sigma Certification
Previous MRB experience

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and qualify new or existing suppliers, including international, and ensure they meet the stringent quality standards of the aerospace and defense industry.
Serve as the Supplier Quality Engineer on an Integrated Supplier Team.
Ensure delivered product conforms to requirements.
Perform Early Supplier Engagements, First Article Inspections IAW AS9102, complex investigations, Supplier Corrective Action Requests and audits for assigned suppliers.
Use structured, data‑driven methodologies and statistical tools to elevate supplier performance, reduce variation, and prevent defects.
Assess supplier manufacturing processes, quality systems, and technical capability to meet missile production requirements.
Use structured, data‑driven methodologies and statistical tools to strengthen supplier manufacturing capability, reduce variation, and prevent defects.
Apply advanced quality engineering principles throughout the supplier lifecycle.
Conduct supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to prevent quality escapes and supply disruptions.
Develop supplier quality plans, process controls, and inspection strategies.
